After Mac's most recent OS update (Catalina) Mac users will need to ensure they have followed the steps below before their Coaching session to ensure your child can participate in the session.

  1. Log into the Parent Dashboard, select the Coaching tab and then choose 'Preview Page'. You may be asked to grant permission to use the camera and microphone. You will then be asked to enable the Screen Recording permission for Google. (NB, this is the phrase used to allow screen sharing, and does not mean that your activity is being recorded)

  2. Choose 'Open System Preferences'

  3. If you do not see the dialog above manually open System Preferences, click the "Security and Privacy" icon and then choose "Screen Recording" in the sidebar.

  4. In the Screen Recording section click the box next to Google Chrome to allow screen sharing. You may need to click the unlock icon in the bottom-left.

  5. If the Google Chrome 'tick box' is already checked, you will need to uncheck this box to remove permission, restart Chrome, then grant it again, and restart Chrome again

  6. Next, click "Quit Now". You will not be able to screen share until you quit and restart Google Chrome.

  7. To test that this has been successful, please test by using the 'Preview Page' option in our Coaching area and check that you are able to screen share.
