Here are some frequently asked questions about the Spring Challenge 2023

How do I register my child in one or both Challenges?
You'll be able to register in the Challenges from 1st April. Visit the Parent Dashboard and on the homepage you'll see a Challenge tile. Press Register next to your child's name for one or both Challenges. You must register for the Challenges separately, so please sure to do this for ALL challenges and ALL children who would like to take part.

If you have not yet linked your parent email to your child's school account, you'll need to do this first! In order to do this, please follow these steps. Once you've done this you will then be able to login to the Parent Dashboard and register them for the Challenge.

The last day to register for the Challenge is Monday 24th April (due to the 7 day streak requirement).

When will my child receive their reward?

We aim to have all rewards posted by the end of MAy 🤞 This is as long as there are no delays with our suppliers/senders. With over 10,000 entries we do our very best to ensure rewards are posted as quickly as possible!

My child doesn't have a paid Doodle subscription, can they join the Challenge?
A paid or school subscription is required to register in the Challenge and receive a pin badge and certificate free of charge.

What does my child need to do to earn their reward?

Encourage your child to earn 450 stars (or 350 stars if they were born after 01/09/15) and a 7-day streak in DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish between the 1st April and 30th April. You can keep track of their progress by downloading our free tracker sheet.

Once they’ve reached their goal, you can claim their reward by logging in to the Parent Dashboard and pressing Claim reward. The last day to claim their reward is the 30th April at 23:59 BST.

How do I claim my child's reward?

Once your child has reached their target, you can claim their free reward by logging in to the Parent Dashboard and pressing Claim reward next to their name.

Please note: the last day to claim their reward is Sunday 30th April at 23:59 BST.

It is really important that parents register their child and also claim their child's reward so that we can send their pinbadge and certificate. If this is not done then we won't be able to send the reward.

How can I see how track my child's progress towards their target?

In DoodleMaths or DoodleEnglish app, press on the menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the Learning Zone and press on Badges. The gauge beneath the Challenge badge will show your child's progress towards their goal!

Alternatively, on the homepage of the Parent Dashboard you'll see two bars tracking your child's progress towards the Challenge requirements. You can also hover over Analyse and select Effort. Click on the Custom Time box and select the date your child started the Challenge and the current date to see how many stars they’ve earned and their current streak.

Do stars earned in DoodleTables and/or DoodleSpell count towards the star target?

No, only stars earned in DoodleMaths will count towards the DoodleMaths Challenge.

Similarly, only stars earned in DoodleEnglish will count towards the DoodleEnglish Challenge.

My child has a school subscription, can they join the Challenge?

Children with a paid school DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish subscription can take part depending on the school's subscription.

If they'd like to join both Challenges, a home Doodle subscription can be taken out in the subject their school is not subscribed to.

My child has a school subscription, how do I register them in the Challenge?

The first thing to do is to link your parent email to your child's school account. You can do this by following the steps and video in this article.

Once you've done that, you'll then be able to register your child in the Challenge by following the steps above.
