Welcome to Doodle, we are so happy to have you here!

Overview

Doodle provides four learning apps:

  • DoodleMaths

  • DoodleTables

  • DoodleEnglish

  • DoodleSpell

The apps that are available to your students will depend on the type of subscription your school has.

In addition to the apps we provide:

  • Teacher Dashboard - an online hub for teachers that tracks their students' progress

  • Parent Dashboard - an online hub for Parents where they can view their child's progress

Teacher Dashboard

You can login to your Teacher Dashboard using your school email and your Doodle password. If you do not have this, please ask the school maths lead to set this up for you.

The Teacher Dashboard allows you monitor your students' progress, support your students and edit your classes and teachers.

โ€‹You can switch between DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleTables and DoodleSpell in the top right hand corner of each page.

In order to get the most out of Doodle, you can use our helpful How-to guides available directly from the Teacher Dashboard and these are accessible at any time that suits you. To access the guides, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to the Teacher Dashboard

  2. The first time you visit each page, a tour will automatically pop up.

  3. You can access the guides at any time by clicking on the green 'How-to' button on each page.

The student experience

When a child logs into their Doodle account, they'll be greeted by the Learning Zone, an exciting hub where they can access their work and view their progress. The Learning Zone acts as the main homepage for each Doodle programme.

When first using the apps the child will be set a Baseline Assessment - this will work out the level of work that the child will be set and is the starting point for creating their personalised work programme. If a child using the apps feel that their work programme is not quite right, you can set a Baseline Assessment from the Teacher Dashboard to enable the work programme to be reviewed.

Children can choose the type of activity they'd like to complete next by selecting from the available options, indicated by a dotted line. These include:

  • x-a-day: a daily set of 5 to 10 personalised questions

  • Power Up: a set of 15 questions in a topic a child is finding challenging

  • Tricky: a set of questions a child has saved to come back to later with the help of a parent or teacher

  • Assignment: additional questions in a topic set by a child (if over the age of 12), parent or teacher

  • New: an introduction to a new topic containing short explanations and interactive elements

The learner will also see a gauge with an arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. This shows the learner whether theyโ€™re on target to achieve their weekly star target. This is an achievable number of stars for each child based upon their age and ability. This target is achievable by Doodling little and often, you will be able to see if they are on track in the Teacher Dashboard.
