Between the 1st April and the 30th April, we invite students to join one or both of our exciting Spring Challenges — the DoodleMaths Challenge and the DoodleEnglish Challenge!

Designed to encourage a few minutes of daily Doodling, the Spring Challenge promotes healthy learning habits and builds each child’s confidence, helping to spark their love of learning.

Most excitingly, all those who complete the challenge will earn FREE in-app badges, a real-life pin badge and an exclusive downloadable certificate, available for download from the Teacher Dashboard, to celebrate their hard work!

The Challenges will run from Wednesday 1st April to Thursday 30th April. The last day to start the Challenges will be on Friday 24th April (as one requirement is 7 active Doodling days).

Children need to earn 450 stars (or 350 stars if they were born after August 2018) and use DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish for 7 days* between the 1st April - 30th April. Parents at home can print keep track of their child's progress by downloading our free tracker sheet.

*These days do not need to be in a row, so your students can use Doodle whenever they'd like throughout April. A day of use is counted as completing at least one exercise (an x-a-day, Power-up, Tricky, Assignment or baseline assessment exercise) between 00:01 and 23:59. The stars do not need to be earned solely in these 7 days; they can be earned across the whole challenge period.

Children with school subscriptions or home subscriptions in DoodleMaths and/ or DoodleEnglish can take part. To take part, parents just need to enter their child in the Challenge. More information on how parents can enter the Challenge can be found here.

Teachers are not able to register students for the Challenge from the Teacher Dashboard. The reason for this is that the Challenge is designed to increase parental engagement and therefore the linking of parent accounts to child school accounts is essential for this.

Getting students and Parents excited about the Challenge

We have a wide range of resources for you to help engage students and support parents, these include:

Viewing Children that have entered and completed the Challenge

You can view the students that have entered the Spring Challenge on the Teacher Dashboard Homepage. Select the 'view registered pupils' button to see information including name, class and whether a child has registered or completed the Challenge.

Download your students' certificates

From the 1st of May through midnight on the 12th June, teachers will be able to download and print Challenge certificates from the homepage of the Teacher Dashboard.

Pin badges will be sent to your school once the Challenge has come to an end.

Tracking Progress

Students will also receive in app badges during the Challenge as well as a badge for completing the challenge! These can be viewed in their app by tapping on the arrow in the top left hand corner of their screen, selecting Badges and toggling to Challenges. During the challenge, children will see a progress bar to see how far they are from completing the challenge requirements.

Once the Challenge has been completed the badge will appear in full colour and I child will be able click on the badge to see more details for that badge!

Although there is no requirement for this, we love to see what your students have been getting up to! Let us know how you're getting on by using the hashtag #DoodleMathsChallenge or #DoodleEnglishChallenge on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
