Following feedback from parents asking for more flexibility with assignments, we’re excited to introduce a new feature: you can now choose between different assignment types when setting an assignment from your Parent Dashboard!
This gives you greater control when tailoring work to meet the needs of your child.
✅ Choosing an Assignment Type
When setting an assignment, you now have two options:
Lesson & Questions – includes the Learn section followed by the set of questions
Questions Only – skips the Learn section and goes straight to the questions
This flexibility allows you to decide whether your child needs guided learning or would benefit from jumping directly into practice.
📘 How to Set an Assignment
When creating an assignment:
Select the assignment
Choose the assignment type (Lesson & Questions or Questions Only)
Enter the date you’d like the assignment to appear
Choose the children you'd like to set the assignment for
Note:
If a child's name is greyed out, this means the student already has that specific assignment set in their Learning Zone.
📈 Analysing an Assignment
On the Analyse Assignments page, you’ll be able to tell which type of assignment has been completed. Simply hover over the icon next to each assignment.
This icon indicates a Lesson & Questions assignment
This icon indicates a Questions Only assignment
