If the student is finding things too easy or too difficult you need to set a new baseline assessment

If you think your student's account is not at an appropriate level for them (or if they haven't used it for a while) they may need to do a reassessment.

✅ Don’t worry—students won’t lose any of their DoodleStars! The baseline simply reassesses their level to ensure the programme is tailored to their current needs.

When Should I Reassess a Student?

  • If the work is too easy or too hard

  • If the student hasn’t used Doodle for a while

  • If their confidence or ability has changed

  • At the start of a new term or academic year

How to Set a New Baseline Assessment

  1. Log in to the Teacher Dashboard

  2. Go to Work programmes > View understanding

  3. Select your class from the dropdown menu

  4. To reassess multiple students:

    • Click Start new baseline for whole class

    • Select the students you’d like to reassess

  5. To reassess an individual student:

    • Click on the student’s name on the left-hand side

    • Scroll to the bottom and click Set baseline

🎯 If a child is working well below their actual age, you can adjust their month and year of birth to better reflect their working level before starting the baseline.
