Badges

Doodle badges are bright, colourful rewards designed to celebrate children’s progress and keep them motivated. They’re automatically awarded for reaching key milestones—like achieving a spectacular streak or setting a new high score in a game.

Alongside stars and streaks, badges recognise effort and determination, helping to build confidence in every learner. Because they’re based on progress and consistency, all children can earn them—regardless of ability.

Badges are designed to be unlocked at regular intervals, encouraging children to use Doodle ‘little and often’ as they work towards achievable goals. With over 100 badges to collect, there’s always something new to aim for, keeping learning fresh and exciting.

Children can view all the badges they’ve earned, as well as their progress toward new ones, at any time—helping them reflect on how far they’ve come and feel proud of their achievements.

Children can access their badges in all four Doodle programmes by tapping the Menu in the top left-hand corner of the Learning Zone, then selecting Badges from the list.

The badges page will always be unlocked.

Badges are split into 5 different categories:

Tap any of the five headings at the top of the page to view the badges within that category. Children can then tap on an individual badge to learn more about it and track their progress.

Children will be able to view badges they are currently working towards, badges they have completed, and future badges they can aim to achieve.

Every time a child earns a new badge, you will be notified via the Notifications section of your Parent or Teacher Dashboard. Parents will also receive the good news via email.

Children can compare their badge collections with siblings and friends using Secret Files, allowing them to see which badges others have earned.
