Why Use the View Effort Page?

We recommend checking the View Effort page weekly to monitor how your students are using Doodle and whether they’re staying within their green target zone.

How to Access the View Effort Page

  1. Log in to the Teacher Dashboard

  2. Go to Work programmes > View effort

  3. Select your class from the dropdown at the top of the screen

What You’ll See

The table displays a detailed overview of each student’s engagement, including:

  • Stars earned in the last 7 days

  • 🎯 Weekly star target

  • ⏱️ Total time spent on questions

  • 📈 Progress toward their weekly target

  • 🔥 Streak (consecutive days of Doodling)

Each circle in the table represents a day. The number next to the circle shows how many stars were earned. Hover over a circle to see where the stars came from (e.g. X-a-Day, Assignments, or Games).

Customising the View

  • Change the time period to 7 days, 14 days, or a custom range

  • Switch between subjects using the icons in the top right corner

  • To view combined data across all subjects, click View data for all subjects combined at the bottom of the page

Note: In the combined view, target gauges, streaks, and weekly star targets are not shown. Hover over the coloured circles for a subject-by-subject breakdown.

Why It Matters

Each student’s weekly star target is automatically personalised by Doodle. It’s designed to be achievable with just small amount of Doodling each day.

Checking this page regularly helps you:

  • Identify students who may need encouragement or support

  • Celebrate those who are consistently in their green zone

  • Track overall class engagement at a glance

🎉 Tip: Consider rewarding students who stay in their green zone with stickers, house points, or other classroom incentives! Click here for more celebration ideas.

Exporting the Data

To download the data:

  • Click the Export button above the table

  • The file will download to your computer for easy sharing or record-keeping
