We think it's important to take a healthy learning break when needed, which is why we've developed Doodle streak savers to enable your child to relax without worry. The streak saver will allow your child to keep their streak when they need to take a break from Doodle, allowing them to pick up their streak where they left off when they start Doodling again.

How to earn a streak saver

A streak saver will be earned when a child has completed five days of Doodling. It is possible to be able to save up a maximum of two streak savers at any one time.

Children can view their streak savers by tapping on the target gauge in their Learning zone.

When to use a streak saver

A streak saver can be used for a break of between two days and two weeks. A child will not need to use one if only one day of Doodling has been missed. As normal, the child will be able to 'catch up' by 'double Doodling' for one day's absence.

How to use a streak saver before a planned break

If you know you are not going to be able to Doodle for a few days, a streak saver can be applied in advance. To do this the child needs to:

  1. Log in to their account

  2. Tap on their target gauge in the bottom left of their Learning Zone

  3. Select the streak saver icon

  4. Click on Activate streak saver

Your child can now have a break of up to 14 days, knowing that when they start Doodling again they will not have lost their streak πŸŽ‰

How to use a streak saver after taking a break

If you have an unexpected break, your child will be given the option to use their streak saver when they next log in. When they enter the Learning Zone a message will appear to tell your child that Doodle is saving their streak, to get back on track you child will need to:

  1. Select I'm ready to Doodle

  2. Choose the activity that they would like to complete

Once they have completed the work, they will see that their streak has been restored to the number it was on when they last Doodled. As the child has missed a few days, it is likely that they will be in the red zone of their target gauge, as this records the stars earned in the last seven days, with a few days of Doodling they'll soon be back on track!
