When you first sign into DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish and DoodleSpell you will be asked to complete what we call a Baseline Assessment. It sounds very serious but don't worry, it is just a list of questions to help get you started on your DoodleLearning journey. 😄
Click Let's go and it will then ask you a series of Q's that will help set up your unique Doodle programme. 👇
Starting Age and Confidence Rating
At the beginning of the assessment you will be asked your date of birth and then answer how confident you feel about the subject, if you are not sure ask your grown up or teacher to help you. 🤔
The confidence rating starts at 1 being the least confident and 5, being the most confident.
The amount of questions depends on your age and how confident you are feeling. You can be asked up to ten sets of five questions, these don’t need to be completed all at once and can be done whenever you feel ready to come back and give it another go.
At the end of each set of questions you will be asked to chose how the questions made you feel, from super confident to not confident yet. 😄
Top tips to help you with your Baseline Assessment
Be honest with the confidence rating, you don't want your programme to be too hard or too easy, you want them just right.
Complete the Q's on your own, asking for help will only mean the questions are not 'best fit' for you later on.
Your teacher or grown up will set a new baseline 2-3 times a year. If they forget remind them, they can start one from the Parent and Teacher Dashboard.
If you are finding the questions in your Learning Zone too hard or too easy, ask them to start a new one, this should get you back on track.
You don't need to complete all the questions in one Doodle session. You can log out and come back to it another time.
If you've not been Doodling for some time (60 days or more). The programme will automatically start a new baseline assessment for you to complete.
Whilst you are in assessment your stars build up and are only added to your total once the whole Baseline Assessment is complete.
There is no Baseline Assessment when you start DoodleTables, instead there is a confidence rating to start you off in the programme.

When you have completed your Baseline the programme will automatically set up a 7- day target which you can see in the bottom left hand screen of your Learning Zone. 👇
The green zone is where you want to be working, you've earned enough stars for the week.
In the orange zone you are nearly on track to meet your weekly target.
In the red zone you have to Doodle for 10 mins a day to get back into the green zone.
You are now good to go! 💥
