It is a great idea to create a teacher test account for your school. This will allow teachers to create a child account and then be able to access the Doodle apps and see them from the student's point of view.

How to add a Teacher Test Account

You can set this up as a class called 'Teacher Test Account'. Before creating this class, please check the class list to see if this already exists. If is doesn't exist, you create it by following these steps:

  1. Login to the Teacher Dashboard and select Manage > Classes

  2. Click on Add class in the top right hand corner of the screen

  3. Enter the year group as 'Mixed Year Group' and class name as 'Teacher Test Account' and press Save

Ideas for using your Student account

  • Log into your account and have a play around so that you can understand what your students are seeing and how the apps work. Get to know the different exercises, set and complete assignments, select the menu to see how to spend stars and collect badges!

  • Use it in class to demonstrate exercises and run through assignments together

  • Show students how to use the help features (by selecting the red question mark) when they are finding questions challenging

  • Demonstrate the tools that students can be used to support them when answering questions by using the arrow at the bottom of the question screen, including the doodle pad, magnifying glass and multiplication square

  • You could join the seasonal challenges to see how these appear in the app and to help support and encourage children who are taking part

  • Why not get a student vs teacher competition going to see who can reach the green zone!
