Doodle is designed to be used ‘little and often’.

To help ensure your child is using Doodle in this way, we’ve introduced the Green Zone.

What is the Green Zone?

The Green Zone is the sweet spot—where your child is using Doodle just the right amount to make progress, without overdoing it.

When your child logs in, they’ll see a gauge with an arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of their screen. This gauge shows whether they’re on track to meet their weekly star goal, which is tailored to their age and ability. The goal is designed to be achievable by Doodling little and often throughout the week. It’s based on a 7-day rolling target.

How does it work?

Click or tap the gauge to expand it and view more details. The gauge has three zones:

  • Green Zone: Your child is on track—great job!

  • Red Zone (Left): Not enough stars earned yet. In this zone, Games and Friends will be locked to help your child stay focused.

  • Red Zone (Right): Too many stars earned. This means your child has spent more time than recommended on Doodle. In this zone, all activities will be locked to encourage healthy screen time habits.

To unlock motivational features like Games, Friends, and Avatars, your child must:

  • Complete at least one learning activity per day

  • Be within their Green Zone

How can I check if my child is in their Green Zone?

You can easily check by:

  • Opening the DoodleConnect app

  • Visiting the homepage of the Parent Dashboard

When your child is in their Green Zone, be sure to celebrate their progress—this helps reinforce positive learning habits!
