If your child is moving to a new school, it’s really important that your child can keep their hard-earned DoodleStars and retain all their progress data. This information helps build their personalised work programme, so it is key that nothing is lost in the transition. Fortunately, it’s really easy to link their account to a new school! To do this, please ensure you have linked your parent email to your child's account first. Then follow these steps:
Step 1 - update the school through the Parent Dashboard
Please login to the Parent Dashboard
Hover over My account and click on Child details
Select your child’s name on the left hand side
Click on the box next to School and start typing their school name until it appears in the list. Check the school postcode to make sure it is the correct school.
Press Save changes
Step 2 - over to the teacher
Once you have completed step 1, it is important to let your child’s school know that you have linked their account to the school.
The teacher will see your child's name listed under Linked students on their Teacher Dashboard. Ask the teacher to verify them, move them to the correct class and archive any school accounts they may have created for them.
Once the teacher has verified your child’s account, your child will keep all of their progress and DoodleStars, their learning programme will continue without interruption, and their new teacher will be able to monitor their progress and provide support.
