Our policy for cancelling your subscription based on your subscription type

This policy applies to subscriptions taken out directly through Doodle (Discovery Education) and not for subscriptions taken out through Apple, Amazon or Google. If you took out a subscription through any of these third party app providers, you will need to cancel directly through them as detailed here, and adhere to their policies.

We are sorry if Doodle doesn't meet your needs. Before cancelling your subscription, please get in touch with us via the green chat bubble to see if there's anything we can do to resolve things or support you with making the most out of your subscription.


Auto-renewal

All of our subscriptions are auto-renewing. If you don’t cancel, your subscription will auto-renew for a further twelve months or one month period, as relevant. We will send you a reminder of an annual renewal 14 days prior to the auto renewal for annual subscriptions with details of how to cancel.


Cooling off period - Monthly and annual subscriptions

All subscriptions (annual or monthly) will start with a cooling off period of 14 days from the date your first payment is taken (any trial is excluded from the 14 day cooling off period). You have the right to cancel at any point during this cooling off period by any of the methods set out in the ‘How to cancel’ section below. If a payment has been taken, you have the right to receive a full refund if requested by contacting our team via the green chat bubble. To avoid incurring any further fees, please make sure you contact us requesting a cancellation of your subscription before the cooling off period has expired.


Right to cancel after cooling off period

You have the right to cancel your subscription at any point during your subscription, such cancellation will take effect at the end of the relevant (monthly/annual) subscription period and you will receive access for the remainder of your such subscription period.

Annual Subscriptions

You can cancel your subscription at any time by any of the methods set out in the ‘How to cancel’ section below.

If you cancel your subscription within 14 days of the payment being taken and contact us to notify us, we will refund your most recent payment. We will make the refund without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

If you cancel your subscription after 14 days of the payment being taken, the subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current twelve month subscription period and no further fees will be payable. We do not offer refunds for unexpired portions of a payment period.

Monthly Subscriptions

You may cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with the ‘How to cancel’ section below and the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current subscription period. We do not provide refunds for monthly subscription cancellations outside of the initial 'cooling off period'.


How to cancel

If you still wish to cancel your subscription, you can do so by any of the following methods:

  • On Parent Dashboard: Follow these instructions for cancelling your subscription on the Parent Dashboard;

  • By post or email: Send us notification in writing to: The DoodleLearning Cancellation Team, Discovery Education, 9 Palace Yard Mews, Bath BA1 2NH, UK or by email to hello@doodlelearning.com of your decision to cancel your subscription, including your details, the email address that the account is linked to, the product/s ordered, the date of ordering and your name and address;

  • By On-line Cancellation Form: Electronically fill in and submit the model cancellation form by clicking here. If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay
