DoodleSpell Assignments work slightly differently from assignments in other programmes.
It may appear that students are required to complete the same assignment multiple times and are unable to access additional ones, but this is not actually the case.
In DoodleSpell, assignments function similarly to Words in the main work programme. Students must complete the Practice activity three times before the Test becomes available.
As can be seen in the below screenshot, the Test will be appear greyed out when it is locked.
Once three Practice sessions have been completed, the Test will unlock, and learners can tap the blue Test button to proceed.
Although learners will need to go through the Lesson at the beginning each time they complete one of the three Practice sessions, the questions will be different in each session.
An Assignment is only considered complete once the stars have been collected by successfully completing the Test.
To earn their stars, students must achieve more than 50% in the Test. If they score below this threshold, they will need to improve their score to complete the Assignment.
The screenshot below shows what one completed DoodleSpell Assignment looks like:
The first three Assignment icons represent the three Practice sessions.
The final icon represents the completed Test.
If a student has started a DoodleSpell Assignment and has only completed two Practice exercises, they will need to complete one more Practice session and then the Test before they can access any additional Assignments.
While an Assignment is active in a student's DoodleSpell programme, Games and other restricted areas will remain locked.
By tapping the Assignment icon, learners will be taken directly to the part of the Assignment they have already started.
