There are two ways to keep track of your child's progress: The Parent Dashboard OR the DoodleConnect app. For more information on the Parent Dashboard please see this article.

The first thing to do is to download the DoodleConnect app onto your Apple or Android device. Use your parent Doodle login details to sign into the DoodleConnect app. (If you are a parent of a school subscriber, please make sure that you have linked your parent email address to your child’s school account first - for information on how to do that, please see here).

Along the bottom you will see a menu bar. Here you can switch between Analysis, Notifications, Help and Settings.


Within this section you will see be able to see:

  • Your child's weekly star target and whether they are within their green zone or not

  • The number of DoodleStars earned each day and their current streak

  • Your child's progress analysis - the % of end of year objects covered and their current DoodleAge will be clearly displayed. If a goal has been set, this will be show as a green line on the chart. Tap on the little square icon in the top right hand corner to expand the chart and for more information.

If you have more than one child, make sure you switch between users by tapping on the arrows at the top, and be sure you tap on the corresponding icon to switch between subjects.


The notifications section provides a live newsfeed of your child’s achievement so you can keep a track of their Doodling. Here you will receive notifications when your child:

  • earns a badge

  • updates their streak

  • is in their green zone

  • completes an Added Extra or New this Week

  • purchases an accessory for their avatar

The subject icon will tell you which programme they earned this achievement in and the date and time it was achieved. If you have more than one child connected to your account, all children’s achievements will be listed here making things nice and straightforward for you!

Within the settings section, you will be directed to manage your subscriptions and account details and importantly, manage push notifications on your device. Enabling push notifications ensures that you are always keeping up to date with your child's Doodling! You will receive a notification on your devices when your child:

  • earns a badge

  • updates their streak

  • is in their green zone

Please note, to receive notifications from us you will need to enable them both in our app (by toggling Push Notifications to on as pictured below) and also in your device settings.
